Decorative paths and driveways are very aesthetically pleasant. In addition to the practicality of moving people and vehicles from one point to another, these paths make the journey more enjoyable. There are endless choices: garden and driveway paths can be lined with trees, flowers and rocks, weave through a garden or envelope a fountain or courtyard.

Stone and granite paths are gorgeous and very durable. They are strong enough to handle heavy vehicle traffic, yet pretty enough to be lined with overflowing flower beds.

Gravel and dirt paths and driveways have a more rustic feel to them than stone paths. They do not last as long as stone and granite paths, but they are much less costly. You can also add more gravel as it washes away with time. Gravel and dirt paths can be lined with wildflowers like daisies and tiger lilies.

Driveways and paths that are lined with trees and shrubbery provide a more intimate experience, almost like entering a forest. In addition to privacy, tree and shrubbery-lined paths and driveways reduce the amount of noise pollution.

Paths and driveways can weave around the edge of ponds and through trees, flower beds and rock walls. A weaving path let’s you enjoy the journey there, especially when you don’t know what expects you round the corner! In fact we recommend that weaving paths and driveways are positioned beside streams or through forest clearings, never over a plain, bare landscape.

Some paths and driveways may run adjacent to walls or other large structures which offer the option to be lined with creeping vines and ivy.

Paths and driveways can surround garden courtyards. In addition to flower, shrub and tree gardens, courtyards can be designed as a place where to sit and relax. Courtyards may contain benches, gazebos, fountains or statues. There can be separate paths that break off into the courtyard or just one main path that runs around the exterior of the courtyard.
